part three: LUCY

I have heard so many things spoken directly to my ears🙆 because of this disability thing🤦

I had this Bestie in my life in the year 2019-2020, we were good friends and he was physically and materially there for me. While I was there for him in the other faze of life.

One day, we were having a chit chat and all of a sudden, bestie reluctantly said something that got me surprised even till now.

Conversation:

BESTIE: Lucy carry my baby na, 

ME: you say what?🙄

BESTIE: I know that you and I are not dating but I have come to know you better than I even know my dating partner.

ME: I don't know where you are getting that idea from but I just pray that idea leaves you now

BESTIE: am very serious Lucy, I want you to be part of my life indirectly and I promise you that I will care for you and the baby, you will lack nothing

ME: wait are you for real?  Like seriously? So you want me to become a single mom with no husband? How do you expect me to agree to that? What will I tell my parents? What will your dating partner thinks of me? As a Christian I am, what do you want me to say to the people seeing me as Jesus baby? Please if you don't have what to say just go home , I understand and I won't use it against you

BESTIE: I want you to be happy, just think about the joy that child will bring into your life, the child will be everything to you. Just think about how you will become lonely when all your siblings finally get married and leave your father's house, you will be left with only your parent but if you have your own child or children you will never feel lonely. Am just thinking about the future

ME: am disappointed, I never expected such a low self-esteem words from you over me 🤦. What for?  I have not complained neither have I said that I don't understand what you meant. I understand everything but just allow me to relax, don't cause me any pressure.

BESTIE: am sorry, please forgive me

ME: is okay, I forgive you

The guy was truly proving a point and he was right but from the other side it was not a good idea for me because of my believe. And I just pray that will not be an option for me, Amen
