It's a story that I'm not always comfortable sharing, but I believe that it's an important one to tell. As a kid, I always felt like I was at a disadvantage. While my friends were worrying about what game to play at recess, I was worried about how I was going to get my homework done with a disability that made it difficult for me to write. And on top of that, I was from a low-income household, so we struggled to make ends meet.
